Donna Watson is the founder of the Troy Howlett Foundation, a nonprofit named in memory of her son, Troy, who died from fentanyl poisoning. What began in grief has become a national mission to break the stigma of addiction and support those on the path to recovery.
Through programs like Pathways to Possibilities and the upcoming Cottage Retreat, Donna has helped hundreds access housing, education, and healing. She has also authored two books, championed the “Troy Bill” in Virginia, and supports the upcoming film Hope in the Dark, based on Troy’s journal.
Donna’s message is simple: no one should have to walk the recovery journey alone.
