At the Troy Howlett Foundation, a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we aim to tackle the fentanyl crisis by providing vital resources, support, and education to individuals and families affected by addiction. Founded in memory of Troy Howlett, who sadly lost his life to this epidemic at the age of 31 years old, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those affected by addiction and homelessness, while honoring the memory of Troy.
We recognize that active addiction can diminish an individual’s sense of self-worth, leading to feelings of hopelessness. Yet, we believe recovery goes beyond simply abstaining from substances; it’s about rebuilding lives and restoring confidence. Our foundation is dedicated to helping individuals enter recovery and flourish in their newfound sobriety. We offer financial assistance for treatment programs and help individuals achieve their Peer Recovery Specialist certificates after a year of recovery, enabling them to uplift others on their recovery journeys while reintegrating into the workforce and rejuvenating their self-esteem.
In our quest to raise awareness and inspire change, we are launching a nationwide billboard campaign showcasing the faces of loved ones lost to the fentanyl epidemic alongside vital mental health resources and recovery hotlines. Furthermore, we will host events and rallies to distribute crucial information about addiction, recovery resources, and Narcan, creating a supportive community that encourages open dialogue.
To turn our vision into reality, we invite your support. Every dollar you give will help individuals reclaim their lives and pay tribute to the memories of those we have lost. We are dedicated to empowering those struggling with substance use disorders to reclaim their lives and make a positive impact, one life at a time.
They say there is a reason,
They say time will heal;
But neither time nor reason
Can change the way I feel.
Gone are the days
We used to share,
Yet, in my heart
You are always there.
The gates of memories
Will never close;
I miss you more than
Anyone knows.
I love and miss you every day
Until we meet again—
Always and forever.
True healing from the disease of addiction lies not in prison bars but in the embrace of long-term treatment and support.
